DIY long distance WIFI antenna? what is the best type of homemade WIFI antenna

Help building a homemade yagi style 802.11 wifi antenna.? I am currently using a homemade waveguide cantenna with a usb dongle inside. I have heard that I might be able to get an even stronger signal with a yagi style antenna (the ones with all those parallel elements, placed in the boon. Well I've searched for hours, and just can't find enough information for a beginner like me to make one of these. I'd like to make it work in conjunction with a usb dongle. In particular the most important things I'm looking for is what materials can be used for the elements, and other parts. How long they should each be, and how far spaced apart. And also where on the unit to position the USB dongle. Can anyone help?

What is the best/strongest directional wifi antenna for under $50-100? I live just borderline on a hotspot, I've tried multiple purchased antennas, as well as many home made ones out of cans, bowls, parabolic reflectors, etc. Right now the very best I've found is putting a usb dongle inside of a soup can, (homemade cantenna) but even that is just not reliable. What is the best high power directional antenna I can buy for $50-$100? Possibly there may be one out there that is so strong that it just barely complies with fcc regulations?

Help with a Wifi Antenna Build? Question, I have got a 7dbi 802.11 antenna which is just giving me enough range for what i need, but my question is, can i take that antenna and build a cantenna around it to boost it to around 12dbi or does anyone have a instruction manual on what i want to do. I dont want to build anything from scratch, was hoping there was something homemade i can just add to my current antenna to boost it.

DS WiFi Connection? I have a Nintendo DS and Pokemon Pearl. I would like to be able to use the Wifi features of the game. I have a WiFi connection in my house, but unfortunately, it is not compatable with my DS because it is a wpa connection. Is there a way to boost the reception of my DS so that it can pick up the wifi connections of my neighbors.... like with some sort of homemade antenna....,lol? Just wondering? i need to increase wifi range!!!!!!!!? i share my wifi with my neighbors, (i pay them so i can use it) and so they have the router. i want a way to boost my wifi connection for free or at very low cost. i asked them to put in winsurfer but they said it was fine already so what i wanna do is increase my connection to the router from my computer. if there is anything homemade with the materials that i obviously have and costs less than $5, please tell me! (i have copper wire) oh ya my adapter is a belkin wireless g, i dont wanna buy another! its 802.11 g, part number f5d7011 note:the adapter doesnt come with an antenna and if theres any way i can make one for my adapter, please tell me! -i can accept anything magyver style to increase range please dont tell me to use anything with ethernet, i cant use it on my laptop; theres only two slots for the copper remember that i cant do anything to the router, not even put a tin foil around it cause they dont wanna! i broke open my adapter but it still works fine! can sum1 tell me how to make an antenna, theres no antenna that came with the card! i can use copper wire and foil and anything else really cheap oh and please no software, it never works my computer is xp sp2!
