Help building a homemade yagi style 802.11 wifi antenna.?

I am currently using a homemade waveguide cantenna with a usb dongle inside. I have heard that I might be able to get an even stronger signal with a yagi style antenna (the ones with all those parallel elements, placed in the boon.



Well I've searched for hours, and just can't find enough information for a beginner like me to make one of these. I'd like to make it work in conjunction with a usb dongle.



In particular the most important things I'm looking for is what materials can be used for the elements, and other parts. How long they should each be, and how far spaced apart. And also where on the unit to position the USB dongle. Can anyone help?

1. Yagi style antennas are tricky for beginners... and if you get it wrong you will actually decrease your signal.... I'd recommend against trying to build one....
