- Your wireless card might be turned off. Look on the left side of the laptop and make sure the switch is in the on position. there is a small light beside the switch which indicates WiFi card is on. A lot of Laptops turn the WiFi card off when using the battery to conserve power.
- Why do you need anything like Easy wifi radar? There is absolutely nothing different between that application and the built-in wireless network manager of Windows or the network manager provided with your wireless adapter driver!. You can still search and connect to unsecured networks WITHOUT Easy wifi radar.
The only difference is you'll have to manually connect after searching.. But if you are always connecting to the same network, then you can set it to auto connect whenever that network is in range.
Go to Device manager and make sure your wireless adapter is working properly (there are no errors)
P.S :
Piggybacking on other people’s unsecured wireless networks without their permission is considered illegal in some countries : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legality_of_Piggybacking . People have been arrested for this : http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20070522-michigan-man-arrested-for-using-cafes-free-wifi-from-his-car.html
